Report: Tottenham face competition from Celtic and Rangers for highly-rated teenager

According to a report by The Daily Mirror, Celtic and Rangers have both entered the race to sign rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Kyle Joseph.

The 19-year-old has impressed since breaking into the Wigan side this season, having netted four times in 11 appearances in League One.

The Sun reported at the start of the month that Tottenham were set to launch a second bid for the Latics youngster after seeing their £150,000 offer rejected during the summer transfer window.

The Lilywhites signed Alfie Devine from Wigan during the summer and the report claimed that Tottenham were hopeful that the midfielder’s progress since arriving at North London would convince Joseph that a move to the club would be the right step for him.

However, The Mirror has now revealed that Spurs face plenty of competition for the talented teenager’s signature.

Along with Rangers and Celtic, Sheffield United are also said to be keen on landing Joseph.

Spurs Web Opinion

It is unclear how long it will take for Tottenham to dig their way out of the financial hole brought about by the pandemic. So, it is likely that we are not going to be in a position to spend big in the next few transfer windows. So it is vital that we continue looking for young talents who can be developed into top players.
