Report: Tottenham frontrunners to sign £25m England starlet

Tottenham Hotspur are said to be frontrunners in the race to sign Fulham teenage wonderkid Ryan Sessegnon this summer (Standard).

Despite Fulham having already been relegated from the Premier League, the London club are said to want Sessegnon to help drive their promotion hopes for next season.

However, the 18-year-old is out on contract at the end of next season, and with the club dropping back down to the Championship, they may find it difficult to keep him.

PSG, Juventus, and Borussia Dortmund are all said to be monitoring the Sessegnon situation, whether that comes in the form of a bid this season, or a free transfer in 2020.

However, the report by the Evening Standard states that Sessegnon is keen on remaining in England and in London, and he allegedly believes Spurs are the best choice for him.

Fulham are said to be expecting bids between £20m-£25m due to Sessegnon’s contract situation.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Ryan Sessegnon may have lit the Championship alight last season, however, he has struggled to adapt to Premier League life. The young full-back-come-winger endured a largely unsuccessful campaign at the top, but fans must remember that he is only 18. If Tottenham could snap up this talent for just £25m, it would be an amazing deal for the North London club.
