Report: Tottenham give green light for first-team player sale to fellow PL club

A report in the Northern Echo has claimed that Spurs senior officials have indicated to Newcastle United that they will be happy sell Danny Rose this summer.

Rose is currently on loan with the Magpies after securing a six-month deal in the January transfer window, although he has only featured three times for them so far.

The coronavirus pandemic has called a halt to the current Premier League season, meaning that Rose’s Newcastle career has been short-lived thus far.

However, if the report in the Northern Echo is to be believed, the club’s could come to an agreement over a more permanent move in the summer window. This comes after the Chronicle reported earlier this week that Newcastle were interested in such a transfer.

Rose has been a Spurs man for 12 seasons now since his switch from Leeds United in 2007, racking up over 200 appearances and ten goals in that time (Wikipedia).

Danny is said to be keen on the switch himself, although is anticipating interested from other clubs too this summer.
