Report: Tottenham ‘growing frustrated by leaks’ around the club

A report from the Evening Standard has claimed that Tottenham are growing frustrated at the leaks surrounding the club’s search for a new manager and are thus determined to keep their next target under wraps.

The report claims that senior figures at the North London club are annoyed that managerial targets have been swiftly leaked to the press over the past two months. The Spurs hierarchy believe this has created a ‘chaotic picture’ of the manager hunt.

There were another two twists to the Tottenham manager search over the past week when Daniel Levy and co reportedly dropped interest in Paulo Fonseca and switched their attentions to Gennaro Gattuso.

Some outlets were reporting just one week ago that Fonseca, the former Roma manager, was expected to be named as the new Tottenham boss in the near future.

Alasdair Gold then revealed that attentions were turned to Gattuso when he parted ways with Fiorentina because he was Fabio Paratici’s original first choice.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I do agree that the media has made the manager hunt seem more chaotic than it probably has been. However, no matter the media portrayal, there is no getting away from the fact that this search has been a joke from start to finish.
