Report: Tottenham handed group of death in Champions League draw simulation

The Champions League group stage draw is nearly upon us and to mark the occasion, the Daily Star decided to conduct their own simulation.

After reaching the Champions League Final in Madrid last season, Spurs will enter the competition in pot two, with a number of Premier League teams in pot one.

Man City, Liverpool, and Chelsea all won major titles last year, leaving Spurs with a high chance of a tough group again this year.

Last time out, Tottenham were treated to a group of Barcelona, Inter Milan, and PSV, which they only just scraped their way out of.

This time around, the simulation by the Daily Star may even be worse for Spurs, as they were drawn against Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, and Lille.

Meanwhile, Liverpool were placed in a group with Real Madrid, Man City got Ajax, and Chelsea were handed Borussia Dortmund.

Let’s hope for a better draw than that once the real thing rolls around on Thursday.
