Report: Tottenham handed potential boost as striker’s contract talks stall

According to Corriere dello Sport (as relayed by TEAMtalk), Tottenham Hotspur are circling over Francesco Camarda after the striker’s contract talks with AC Milan hit a roadblock.

Camarda has been banging in the goals at an astonishing rate in youth football over the last few years and the youngster hit the headlines back in November when he became the youngest-ever player to feature in Serie A at just 15 years of age.

Corriere say that the centre-forward’s future is now up in the air as Milan’s attempts to tie him down to a new contract have hit a few roadblocks.

Premier League interest in Francesco Camarda

According to reports, the contract talks have now been ‘postponed’ and this has opened the door to the likes of Spurs, Arsenal, and Manchester City, all of whom are thought to be keen on securing Camarda’s services.

In fact, it is alleged that all three clubs have sent representatives to Italy over recent weeks to run the rule on the 16-year-old ahead of a potential summer move.

However, the outlet does point out that Camarda would not be able to represent an English side until he turns 18 due to the post-Brexit FIFA regulations.

I would not be surprised if Tottenham are exploring the possibility of signing Camarda and loaning him out until he turns 18, just as they did with Luka Vuskovic after signing the Croat starlet from Hajduk Split last summer.
