Report: Tottenham have already made important summer transfer decision

Tottenham Hotspur may not currently be playing any football, but that hasn’t stopped them from making some key summer transfer decisions, according to one report.

The Spurs players are currently confined to their homes as a part of the country-wide lockdown due to the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

It is not currently known exactly when or if the Premier League will start up again.

However, Football Insider have now reported that, even though the Spurs recruitment team have been forced to shut down due to the coronavirus, targets for the summer have been identified.

With a target short-list drawn up, the report claims that discussions around those players will now fall on the normal four-man committee.

This includes Jose Mourinho, Daniel Levy, Steve Hitchen (head of recruitment), and John McDermott (academy director), even though the latter is leaving the club for the FA in June.

Football Insider claim that the transfer window is still set to open as normal in mid-June, although there is a chance that this will change.
