Fichajes.net have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur have asked about the availability of Real Betis striker Borja Iglesias ahead of the summer transfer window.
Iglesias enjoyed a prolific 2021-22 campaign, finding the back of the 19 times across all competitions and he has continued in the same vein this season, having 13 goal contributions to his name in 20 La Liga appearances.
Fichajes.net state that amidst interest from both the Premier League and Serie A, Real Betis are ready to cash in on the experienced striker for €30m (£26.4m) in the summer.
The report adds that Tottenham have asked for information about Iglesias, stating that Conte ‘likes’ him ‘a lot’ and welcomes the addition to ‘boost his offensive rotation’ for next season.
It is explained that Spurs could face competition for the 30-year-old from Juventus and Inter Milan, who are also said to be admirers of the striker.
The publication reveals that Juve have identified Iglesias as the man to replace Dusan Vlahovic if the Serbian leaves in the summer while Inter boss Simone Inzaghi sees the Real Betis star as someone who ‘fits perfectly’ to his style of play.
Spurs Web Opinion
With Moura on his way out and Tottenham unlikely to sign Danjuma permanently, there is no doubt that the club will be on the lookout for attacking reinforcements in the summer.
However, I would be surprised if we signed a centre-forward of Iglesias’s mould when we already have Kane and Richarlison while Son is also capable of playing through the middle if necessary.
