Report: Tottenham have had ‘contact’ with PL player over possible summer move

Jeunes Footeux have reported that Hakim Ziyech has already had ‘contact’ with Tottenham about a potential transfer this summer.

Ziyech is said to be determined to find a way out of Chelsea in the next transfer window as he had found minutes hard to come by in recent months under Graham Potter.

After impressing at the Qatar World Cup, Ziyech actually came close to securing a move to PSG in January to play with the likes of Messi and Mbappe but an admin error scuppered his chances.

The report claims that Ziyech is still talking to the Parisians about a potential summer switch, but also had had contact with ‘several’ Premier League clubs, including Spurs.

Chelsea are predicted to want between £13.2m and £17.6m for the winger and a loan with an option to buy could be discussed.

Either way, Ziyech will likely have to drop his wage down from the £6.2m a year he earns with the Blues.

Spurs Web Opinion:

It’s impossible to make any kind of call without knowing who the next Tottenham manager will be. At this rate, it could even be Graham Potter himself!

I would assume that with Lucas Moura leaving and Arnaut Danjuma’s loan ending, Spurs will be on the lookout for a winger or two though.
