According to GiveMeSport, Tottenham Hotspur have settled on a five-man striker shortlist as they aim to bolster their attack ahead of the new season.

It has been widely reported over recent days that Spurs are expected to prioritise signing a centre-forward this summer to fill the void left by Harry Kane’s departure to Bayern Munich last year.
Replacing Harry Kane is no mean feat for Tottenham
The latest outlet to make this claim was Football Insider, who asserted on Tuesday that after deciding to listen to offers for Richarlison, Ange Postecoglou’s men want to move for a marquee striker when the transfer window opens next week.
GiveMeSport have now reported something similar, stating that Richarlison is expected to depart and that Tottenham want to add another ‘lethal frontman’ to take some burden off Son Heung-min.

Tottenham have a five-man striker shortlist prepared
The report dismisses the speculation linking Rodrigo Muniz with a move to N17, insisting that the Fulham star is not on the Lilywhites’ shortlist.
Instead, it is revealed that the five options that the North London side are looking at are Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez, Brentford’s Ivan Toney, Stuttgart’s Serhou Guirassy, RB Leipzig’s Lois Openda and Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyokeres.

This is certainly an impressive list but all of them except Guirassy are relatively high-cost options, which means that these moves would only make sense if Spurs successfully cash in on Richarlison, which is far from certain this summer.
Even if Richarlison were to leave, realistically, Tottenham need two new forwards this summer with Alejo Veliz not ready to make the step up.
Jamie Donley and Will Lankshear will hopefully head out on loan to continue their development having clearly looked a step above Premier League 2 level last season.
One thing is for sure, whoever comes in is not going to have the same impact as Harry Kane and everyone needs to remember that replacing the England captain is practically impossible.
