Report: Tottenham have scouted two Villarreal stars over recent weeks

90 min have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have scouted Villarreal duo Pau Torres and Arnaut Danjuma over recent weeks.

The news of Tottenham’s interest in Torres will not come as a surprise to Spurs fans, with recent reports indicating that the Spaniard is one of the North London club’s top targets for the left-sided centre-back role (Daily Mail).

It has been suggested that Spurs could use Giovani Lo Celso as a makeweight in a deal to land the defender this summer (Football Insider).

90 min have now claimed it is not just Torres who is of interest to the Lilywhites, but also his teammate Danjuma.

Tottenham allegedly sent scouts to Anfield to watch both players in action in the first leg of the Yellow Submarine’s Champions League semi-final clash against Liverpool.

Danjuma has enjoyed a breakthrough season at El Madrigal since moving to the La Liga club from Bournemouth last summer, with the forward having registered 16 goals and four assists so far this season (Transermarkt).

90 min claim that Spurs are keeping tabs on the Netherlands international ahead of the summer, along with Torres.

Danjuma’s attacking versatility would make him a good fit for Conte’s system as the 25-year-old can play across the front three. If Steven Bergwijn does push for a move as he is expected to this summer, the Villarreal could be a decent replacement for his compatriot.
