Report: Tottenham have tried to negotiate a £25m fee for player this week

Rahman Osman from London World Football has reported that Tottenham have been working on negotiations with Juventus this week over Dejan Kulusevski’s fee.

The journalist confirms that any obligation to purchase the Swede has now gone out the window, with Spurs having missed out on Champions League football.

As such, he claims Tottenham are left with a £29.2m option fee to pay if they want to make Kulusevski’s move to North London permanent.

Tottenham want a Dejan Kulusevski discount

However, it appears that Daniel Levy and co have been using their position as leverage in order to try and get Juventus to knock a bit off the price, and Spurs have a £25m fee in mind.

It is said that Tottenham are definitely still keen on signing the winger this summer, and it is not yet indicated whether Juventus are receptive to offering a discount on the original deal.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Getting a discount on Kulusevski would be incredible business, and I don’t see how Juventus would ever agree to it unless Tottenham offer move favourable payment terms. Perhaps £25m across a couple of years instead of £29.2m over five, for example.
