According to a report from The Sun, Tottenham took part in virtual transfer talks last week as part of a new post-COVID-19 initiative.
Of course, with the Uk still in the midst of lockdown and social distancing rules, face-to-face transfer negotiations are harder than ever.
On Wednesday of last week, top clubs from around the country, including Tottenham, Liverpool, and Man United, took part in an online forum held by TransferRoom.
During the event, guest speakers told representatives from the attending clubs that loan moves were set to dominate the 2020 summer transfer window.
Following this, representatives from the clubs then spoke to each other one-on-one in a quick-fire online dating style to discuss any possible transfer moves.
While it is not revealed who attended the talks on behalf of Spurs or which other clubs the North Londoners talked to, it appears that Daniel Levy and co are looking for new ways to conduct business in these strange times.
The founder of TransferRoom, Jonas Ankersen, said (Sun): “The loan market is going to break new records this summer.

“Given the current circumstances many clubs won’t have the cash to pay up front for players and they will instead seek to loan players, ideally with an option to buy later.
“If you go back just five years, the loan market was primarily for surplus players and players with a bad reputation or bad injury history who no one wanted to commit to in the long term. This has changed completely.
“Today you see some of the top players in the world going on loan as well as some of the most promising talents. As a concept, loans have really got a face lift.”
