Report: Tottenham Hotspur given summer Neymar boost

Tottenham Hotspur have yet to sign a single player in the last 18 months, but could they have just been handed a boost by one of the best and most expensive players in the world?

The Mirror have reported that PSG and Brazil star Neymar is expected to return to Barcelona in the next few weeks, two years after leaving the club for France.

The 27-year-old would obviously command a huge fee and would walk straight into the Barcelona first team, bumping a few others down the pecking order.

One of these such players could be fellow Brazilian star, Malcom, who has hardly hit the ground running in Spain since joining from Bordeaux.

La Liga rules state that Barca can name only three non-EU players in their 25-man first-team squad.

AS now report that this could play into the hands of both Tottenham and Arsenal, with both clubs apparently being offered the winger this summer (Express).

This would put Spurs in a position of strength, as they know Barcelona need to sell up and they also have the lure of Champions League football, which Arsenal do not.
