Report: Tottenham Hotspur player had his Instagram account suspended

The Telegraph’s Matt Law has revealed that Manor Solomon’s Instagram account was temporarily suspended after the winger used the platform to show support for Israel.

Solomon is currently out of action with a meniscus injury and the club have given the winger permission to travel to Israel.

While back in his home country, he is said to have posted messages in support of Israel, with Instagram responding by suspending his account, thus meaning that none of his posts were available to view.

However, Law explains that Solomon’s account was restored after Tottenham reached out to Meta, the company that owns Instagram, over the situation. Work is now said to be underway to find out why the 24-year-old’s account was suspended.

Representatives of Solomon insist that the player did not share any anti-Palestinian content and only criticised Hamas’ attack last month and voiced his support for his fellow citizens, who had been injured and killed.

The winger is thought to be upset that his account was suspended while other footballers and celebrities have not received the same treatment for sharing their pro-Palestinian views.
