Report: Tottenham in talks with Chelsea and Arsenal over tournament plans

The Daily Mail have reported that Tottenham are in talks with London rivals, Chelsea and Arsenal over a potential pre-season tournament this summer.

It is claimed that all three clubs are looking to rebuild their public image after the disastrous attempt to split and form a European Super League this year.

As such, the majority of the money earned from this pre-season tournament would go to charity.

The report claims that talks are still in a very early stage, but there is a growing belief that the plans could go ahead before the 2021/22 season.

This London tournament would replace any overseas pre-season tours for the Lilywhites, Blues and Gunners.

Of course, with the US and Asia being popular destinations for pre-season tours, COVID restrictions may limit possibilities this year, hence why this unique London mini-tournament has been pitched.

It is said that the three clubs hope that this tournament, dubbed the ‘Battle of London’ would be able to welcome a number of fans.
