Report: Tottenham interested in teenage striker from Birmingham City

According to a report by TEAMtalk, Tottenham are one of the clubs who have been attracted to Birmingham City youngster Adan George.

The 16-year-old striker, who has been with Birmingham City’s youth set-up since 2015, has reportedly caught Tottenham’s eye with his performances in this season’s FA Youth Cup campaign.

Geroge has reportedly been on fire this season both for the club’s under-18s, as well as the under-23s, and the Blues said to be desperate to tie him down to a new deal in order to ward off interest from other clubs (Birmingham Mail).

However, Tottenham could face competition for the teenager’s signature in the form of Leeds United, with the Championship club also reportedly monitoring George’s progress.

It is claimed that Leeds wish to add the young striker to their development ranks.

Spurs already have a couple of talented young strikers in their books in the form of Troy Parrott and Kion Etete.

Spurs Web Opinion

I am not particularly sure if it makes sense to stockpile talented young players particularly because so few of them seem to get first-team opportunities at Spurs over recent years. I am not too enthused by this link simply because I don’t want anything to stand in the way of Parrott’s development.
