Report: Tottenham join West Ham in race for Premier League midfielder

According to a report in Spanish news outlet Marca, Tottenham have joined West Ham, Leicester, and Everton in the race for Cardiff City midfielder Victor Camarasa.

Camarasa who is on loan from Real Betis, has impressed for the Bluebirds this term. The 24-year-old has shown that he is more than capable of dealing with the physicality of Premier League football.

The midfielder’s goal against Chelsea on Sunday took his tally for the season to five goals to date. The report claims that Cardiff hope to secure a permanent deal for the Spaniard if they manage to retain their Premier League status.

However, with Neil Warnock’s team five points adrift of safety, several other top-flight clubs are now vying for Camarasa’s signature.

Spurs are short of midfielders at the moment after the departure of Mousa Dembele in January.

With Christian Eriksen also looking like he will leave the club in the summer, Camarasa might prove an astute signing for Tottenham.
