Report: Tottenham keen on 2018 World Cup winning midfielder

Tottenham Hotspur failed to bring in any new faces this season, becoming the first ever Premier League club in history to do so.

Spurs did however have one permanent outgoing through the campaign, with Mousa Dembele leaving London for China in January.

This has left a gap in Mauricio Pochettino’s squad for a new deep-lying central midfielder, and the rumoured new names are beginning to come in quick and fast.

Calciomercatonews claim that Spurs are keen on signing World Cup winning midfield man Steven N’Zonzi come the summer.

Not only would Spurs be investing in a recent international trophy winner, but they would also be buying someone with Premier League experience with both Blackburn and Stoke City.

The 30-year-old defensive midfielder currently plays for Roma in the Italian League, but may be willing to add to his over 200 games of Premier League football.

Arsenal are also said to be interested in the player.
