Report: Tottenham legend involved in traffic collision

It has been reported that Spurs legend and fan favourite, Jermain Defoe, has been involved in a traffic collision (BBC).

The report states that Defoe was involved in the collision after Rangers’ most recent SPL match at Ibrox yesterday.

The Mirror referred to the collision as a ‘three-car smash’, with the vehicles left badly damaged by the event.

Jermain came on as a substitute and grabbed the fifth goal in a 5-0 win over Aberdeen for the Scottish club.

It has been confirmed by Rangers that no one was hurt in the collision, which will come as a relief for Jermain Defoe fans.

Defoe spent two stints at Tottenham, from 2003-2008 and 2009-2014. In this time, Defoe played 363 games for Spurs, scoring 143 goals (Wikipedia).

The former England striker will go down in history as one of the best to grace the Lilywhites jersey. Defoe is still the club’s fifth highest ever goalscorer, with more than even Harry Kane (Tottenham).

We at Spurs Web are glad to hear that Defoe was not injured in the collision.
