Report: Tottenham-linked attacker has heart set on Premier League move

Israeli publication Sport5 have claimed that Shakhtar Donetsk winger Manor Solomon, who is rumoured to be on Tottenham’s radar, has his heart set on a move to the Premier League.

Solomon has developed into one of the top talents in Ukrainian football since joining Shakhtar from Maccabi Petah Tikva in 2019.

The Israeli international netted 13 goals in all competitions last season and has been on fine form again this campaign, with three goals and two assists to his name so far.

TEAMtalk reported in October that Tottenham were ‘keeping a close check’ on the 22-year-old ahead of the January transfer window.

Sport5 have now revealed that Sassualo hold an interest in Solomon and have sent scouts to watch him on a couple of occasions this season.

However, the report states there is ‘little chance’ the winger will move to the Serie A club, having made it clear to his representatives that he is keen on a move to the Premier League.

It is explained that Shaktar have rejected all the offers they have received for Solomon so far but the player’s representatives are said to be working to bring an ‘attractive offer’ soon.

I think the likes of Newcastle are more likely to be interested in Solomon than clubs like Arsenal and Spurs, who would be aiming higher. Besides, I am not convinced that a wide player of the Shaktar man’s profile would fit Conte’s system.
