Report: Tottenham-linked centre-back agrees personal terms with PSG

TuttoMerctoWeb have claimed that rumoured Tottenham target Milan Skriniar has agreed personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain as he edges close to sealing a transfer to the French capital.

Tottenham are reportedly in the market for two centre-backs this summer, particularly if Joe Rodon and Davinson Sanchez leave the club (Football.London).

While Alessandro Bastoni was said to be the North London club’s first-choice target for the left centre-back role, Antonio Conte’s men were also allegedly eyeing a move for Skriniar (Gazzetta dello Sport).

Journalist Ben Jacobs revealed a few days ago that Tottenham were continuing to monitor the Slovak international but had not yet launched an offer for the player.

The journalist stated that PSG were leading the race for the centre-back, who was said to be valued by Inter at around £69m.

If TMW’s latest update is to be believed, the Parisians have made an offer of €50m (£42.7m) for Skriniar.

The report claims that Inter have lowered their demands for the 27-year-old and that an offer of €60m (£51.3m) plus add-ons is likely to prove enough to sign the centre-back.

TMW add that the Ligue 1 giants are ‘not too far from the finish line’ and have already agreed on a contract worth €7m (£5.9m) per year with Skriniar.

Spurs Web Opinion

I do not think Skriniar was ever really at the top of Conte’s wishlist this summer. However, this transfer does affect Spurs as if Inter raise around £50m from the Slovak’s sale, that could mean that they decide to keep both Alessandro Bastoni and Lautaro Martinez at the club.
