Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg has revealed that Tottenham’s rumoured managerial target, Oliver Glasner, is still ‘hesitating’ to sign a new contract at Eintracht Frankfurt.

Glasner’s reputation blossomed when he guided Frankfurt to Europa League glory last season but the Bundesliga side have struggled to pick up consistent results over the last couple of months.

Some German outlets have reported over the last few weeks that the 48-year-old is expected to leave Deutsche Bank Park this summer as Frankfurt’s attempts to tie him down have been unsuccessful (Sky Germany).

Although it was initially suggested by some sources last month that Glasner is on Spurs’ radar to replace Antonio Conte (Fabrizio Romano –YouTube channel), the speculation linking the Austrian to the North London club has died down over the last couple of weeks.

Plettenberg has now taken to social media to reveal that the former Wolfsburg boss is yet to agree on a new deal, which is why Eintracht have made contact over a potential replacement for their head coach.

It is now clear that Glasner is not anywhere near the top of Tottenham’s wishlist to replace Conte, with the likes of Nagelsmann, Enrique, Kompany and Slot seemingly being the top candidates as things stand.

I would not be surprised if a club like West Ham or Leeds decides to take a punt on the Austrian this summer.
