Report: Tottenham-linked striker now set for £21.5m switch to Bayern Munich

Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic is set to complete a move to Bayern Munich after reportedly being tracked by Tottenham, according to Football Transfers.

The German side are expected to seal a deal worth around €25 million (£21.5m) for the Austria international, which will see them follow up on their move to sign Liverpool forward Sadio Mane.

The report adds that Bayern are poised to fend off heavy interest from the Premier League with Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United all thought to have kept tabs on the 24-year-old.

Spurs have been in search of a striker to add to Antonio Conte’s squad this summer with Kalajdzic allegedly one of the names appearing on their radar (Stuttgart Nachrichten and The Sun).

Kalajdzic endured a tough campaign for Stuttgart which saw him score six goals in just 15 Bundesliga appearances after a lengthy absence with a shoulder injury (Transfermarkt).

He put together a host of strong performances towards the back end of the season contributing to seven goals in 10 games to help lift Die Schwaben away from the threat of relegation.

Spurs Web Opinion

A player like Kalajdzic would be a smart signing for Spurs considering they still need to add support for Harry Kane, but Bayern appear to have come calling.

The fact Bayern have made this move relatively early still isn’t a terrible sign, though, as it leaves Spurs plenty of time to scout out other options.
