Report: Tottenham linked with 21-year-old as potential Hugo Lloris long-term successor

Hugo Lloris has been in brilliant form for Tottenham during this calendar year, with the Frenchman having produced a string of impressive performances.

The former Lyon man certainly looks to have a few good years of football left in him at the top level but given that he will be 34 in two weeks’ time, Tottenham in our opinion, could be looking towards his long-term successor in the next couple of transfer windows.

According to a report by Todofichajes, the North Londoners have identified AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma as the man who could potentially take over the reins from Lloris as the club’s number one.

Despite being just 21, Donnarumma has already played over 200 times for Milan and has won more than 20 international caps for Italy.

The goalkeeper is currently in the last year of his contract at the San Siro and it is said that Tottenham are one of the clubs who are alert to his situation.

The report claims that Spurs are ‘serious’ about their interest in the shot-stopper, with Paris Saint-Germain also said to be keen on the Milan number one.

However, it is revealed that the Rossoneri remain hopeful of getting Donnarumma to put pen to paper on a new deal.
