Tottenham Hotspur have been searching for a real back-up to Harry Kane for some time now, with very little success.

Roberto Soldado lost his place in the side to a young Harry and never really pushed the England man too hard. Vincent Janssen was brought in, but also failed to make an impact.

Spurs did find a legitimate back-up option in Fernando Llorente who had a stellar year last season, but the Spaniard then left on a free in the summer.

Harry Kane is actually the only senior striker left at Tottenham, with young Troy Parrott waiting in the wings and the likes of Heung Min Son and Lucas Moura able to cover.

However, Sky Sports have now reported that Spurs may be interested in Inter Milan frontman Gabriel Barbosa. He scored 26 and assisted five in his last season (Transfer Markt).

However, Fox Sports in Brazil claim that Barbosa will turn down offers from Europe to join Flamengo in a £19m deal.
