Report: Tottenham make £23million signing available for transfer

Tottenham Hotspur look set to make further changes to their squad before the start of the new season.

Sky Sports claim that Serge Aurier has been made available for transfer by the North London side.

Aurier joined Spurs from French giants Paris Saint-Germain in August 2017 for £23 million but has failed to make an impact at the club (BBC).

The Ivory Coast international’s contract runs until 2022 and was brought in following the sale of Kyle Walker to Manchester City.

Aurier’s inconsistency along with his inability to be able to take a throw-in at the first time of asking have seen him become somewhat of a figure of unreliability among some Spurs fans.

The 26-year-old featured just six times in the Premier League for Tottenham last season after suffering mixture of thigh, groin and hamstring issues over the course of the campaign (transfermarkt).

Fellow right-back Kieran Trippier also failed to cover himself in glory last seasn due to form issues which has left fans wondering if Maurcio Pochettino will look to part company wit both Trippier and Aurier this summer.

Juan Foyth has shown that he is capable of playing at right-back, while we also have Kyle Walker-Peters within our ranks who has had to patiently wait for limited opportunities.
