Report: Tottenham make enquiry over availability of Inter Milan player

Tottenham Hotspur are once again being linked with a move for Inter Milan midfielder Ivan Perisic.

The Croatian international has been spending the season on loan at Bayern Munich and helped to fire the German giants into the semi final of the Champions League with goals in successive matches against Chelsea and Barcelona (transfermarkt).

FCInterNews claim that Tottenham along with Premier League newcomers Leeds United have both made contact with Inter Milan over the 31-year-old’s availability with the Italian side open to selling him yet the player himself has his heart set on a permanent switch to Bayern.

Perisic has come close to working under Jose Mourinho in the past when the Portuguese was in charge at Old Trafford with Perisic admitting he was flattered to have been contacted by the United boss despite the transfer failing to materialise.

Bayern are yet to take up the option to sign the former Borussia Dortmund player on a permanent deal said to be worth €20 million (transfermarkt).
