Report: Tottenham make multiple enquiries over talented Roma youngster

Tottenham Hotspur have already pulled off two very different, but equally promising, signings so far this summer, following 18-months without a single new addition.

Earlier this week, Jack Clarke was announced from Leeds United on a deal said to be worth £10m, but could rise to £11.5m after add-ons (BBC).

In no disrespect to Clarke, with the 18-year-old rejoining Leeds on loan, Tottenham’s next signing was slightly more mouth-watering, in the form of Tanguy Ndombele (BBC).

The Lyon man became Spurs’ club record signing with an initial fee of £53.8m that could rise to £62.8m after add-ons are completed.

However, could Pochettino be looking to add promising winger Nicolo Zaniolo to his squad for next season?

Corrello de Sport report that Spurs have now made multiple enquiries over the 20-year-old this summer, after he played 36 times for Roma last season, scoring six and assisting two.

Zaniolo is reportedly worth €40 in today’s market (TransferMarkt), although Roma are said to want a staggering €70 (CalcioMercato).

Unfortunately, Juventus are now said to be favourites for the young man’s signature, as they can offer the likes of Gonzalo Higuain in return.

Although, talk of a player plus cash deal involving Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld has also been tipped in the press (Metro).
