Report: Tottenham make offer for Bayern Munich midfielder

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made a lucrative offer to Bayern Munich wonder kid Taylor Booth who they hope to sign when the transfer window opens.

Booth is said to be rated highly at Bayern and is eventually expected to break into their first-team.

The 18-year-old midfielder has been capped by the United States at all age grades up to Under-19 level.

The Daily Mail reported at the start of the month that Tottenham had enquired about the teenager’s availability after he had caught the North Londoner’s eye when Bayern’s Under-19s beat their Spurs counterparts 3-0 to knock them out of the UEFA Youth League back in December.

Football Insider claim that Spurs believe they can secure the youngster’s signature despite having two years left to run on his deal at Bayern.

The report suggests that Booth is concerned at the pathway to the first team at the Bundesliga outfit and is keen to play senior football.

Spurs Web Opinion

Booth would be a fabulous signing for us and I believe he has the potential to break into the Tottenham team straight away if we do manage to somehow sign him. However, the only worry is that signing him could adversely affect the development of Oliver Skipp, who in my opinion is not that far away from becoming a regular in the first-team.
