Report: Tottenham man is ‘looking for a way out’ before the window shuts

Mucho Deporte have revealed that Sevilla have reignited their interest in Bryan Gil, who now wants to leave Tottenham after the North London club snapped up Arnaut Danjuma on loan from Villarreal.

The report states that Sevilla had ‘parked’ their pursuit of Gil but they feel that the winger is now ‘within reach’ after Spurs announced the capture of Danjuma. It is asserted that the Spaniard is ‘looking for a way out of Tottenham’ after the Dutchman’s arrival in North London.

Sevilla are thought to be contemplating a loan offer for the 21-year-old, with an option to make it permanent at the end of the season.

Mucho Deporte claim that although Gil’s salary could be a sticking point for the club, the winger is a perfect fit for the profile of attacker that Jorge Sampaoli wants to add to his squad.

The report adds that although the likes of Villarreal and Valencia have also shown interest in the Tottenham man, in addition to teams from France and Italy, the player’s preference is to return to Seville.

The only issue with loaning out Gil is that he is the only natural cover we have for Dejan Kulusevski on the right, with the likes of Son, Richarlison and Danjuma all being more effective off the left. However, having said that, the last thing that the 21-year-old needs is to spend another six months warming the bench.
