According to Area Napoli, Tanguy Ndombele rejected approaches from Everton and Fulham this summer in favour of a move to Napoli.
It now appears to be only a matter of time before Ndombele officially completes a season-long loan move to Napoli.
Fabrizio Romano has revealed that the Serie A club have an agreement in place with Spurs over a loan deal with an option to make it permanent for €30m (£25.3m).
He added that the Frenchman is expected to complete his medical on Thursday ahead of sealing the transfer.
Italian journalist Paolo Bargiggia told Calcio Napoli 24 on Tuesday that Ndombele had rejected offers from Premier League clubs in order to move to Naples.
This has now been backed up by AreaNapoli, who claim that the 25-year-old refused to join Everton and Fulham.
The report claims that Ndombele made it clear to the Spurs hierarchy that he wanted to play Champions League football at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
Area Napoli also add that Luciano Spalletti is a big fan of the Tottenham man and drove Napoli’s pursuit of the player.

The Serie A would be a better fit for Ndombele’s style of play as the Frenchman will have more time on the ball. He will also not have to do as much running off the ball due to the difference in intensity. So, it is understandable why he rejected Premier League clubs in favour of a move to Napoli.
