Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has revealed that Antonio Conte has tested positive for Covid-19 ahead of Tottenham’s clash against Brighton on Saturday.
Spurs welcome the Seagulls to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday as they attempt to build a six-point gap over Arsenal in the race for fourth place before their North London rivals travel to Southampton later the same day.
Conte will be hoping that his side can continue their momentum, having won five of their last six Premier League games while scoring goals for fun.
However, the Lilywhites have now been dealt a blow, with Gold revealing that the Italian has come down with Covid.
The Tottenham head coach is now said to be appropriately distancing from the rest of the squad and the staff in light of his positive test.
Gold revealed that Spurs expect the 52-year-old to be symptom-free in time for Saturday and for him to be in charge of Tottenham’s clash against Graham Potter’s men.

Spurs Web Opinion
We at Spurs Web would like to wish Conte a speedy recovery. Hopefully, he recovers in time for Saturday’s clash as we have seen how instrumental the 52-year-old is on the sidelines, constantly organising the side and barking instructions to the players.
