Antonio Conte flew back from Italy to London on a Ryanair plane after rejecting a private jet, The Sun have revealed.
The majority of the Tottenham squad began pre-season training at Hotspur Way on Monday ahead of Conte’s first full season in charge at the North London club.
In the video posted by Spurs TV, the Tottenham head coach was seen running the training session, with new signings Yves Bissouma, Fraser Forster and Ivan Perisic among those on training on Monday.
It turns out that instead of taking a private jet back to London from his holiday, as is the norm with Premier League players and managers, the Italian was using a budget flight to travel back.
To people’s surprise, Conte was pictured by a passenger in a Turin to London Ryanair plane, with The Sun revealing that the journey cost as little as £12.
The 52-year-old is the third highest-earning manager in the Premier League after Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp, with his contract with Spurs being worth £15m per year.

I think it is actually refreshing to see a celebrity like Antonio Conte choosing to fly on a budget. The Italian could have taken a private jet if he wanted to and has evidently declined the chance to do that. Perhaps, the 52-year-old is an environmentalist.
