Report: Tottenham may be presented chance to sign Philippe Coutinho

The Express have now reported that a host of Premier League clubs may be presented with the chance to sign Philippe Coutinho come the summer of 2020.

Coutinho is currently still a Barcelona player, but on loan to Bayern Munich in Germany. However, BILD say that the Bundesliga giants are not keen on triggering the option to buy.

This figure is said to be a whopping £109.8m, with Barcelona said to be keen on cashing in on the Brazilian who struggled to hit the ground running in Spain.

The Express list Manchester United, Chelsea, Spurs, and Liverpool as clubs who may be given the chance to sign the playmaker in the summer.

This comes after Spurs reportedly tried to sign Coutinho in the summer of 2019, with the Brazilian having played under Pochettino before at Espanyol (Mirror).

The Express say that a permanent deal may not be realistic for Spurs, but a loan deal could suit them.

Spurs Web Opinion:

This deal seems very unlikely, but we can dream. I imagine that Coutinho will secure a big-money move either to the Premier League or France in the summer. Perhaps a return to Liverpool would be on the cards.
