SPORT reported this week that Tottenham are attempting to sign Barcelona winger Malcom this month, with talks ongoing between the two sides.

Spurs became the first Premier League side not to sign a single new player in the summer transfer window, but injuries to Kane and Moura, as well as the absence of Son may tempt them into a winter deal.

Malcom only signed for Barcelona in the summer, but has struggled for game time ever since.

They are now said to be willing to offload the Brazilian forward, and Tottenham may be the most interested party.

Mundo Deportivo now claim (as reported by the Express) that if Spurs are to land this loan deal, with a compulsory purchase option, then it would derail Arsenal’s pursuit of Denis Suarez.

Barcelona are apparently unwilling to part with both players this window.

A quality attacker, and sabotaging Arsenal, sounds like the perfect Tottenham deal.

  1. The owner, the chairman, the board and to an extent the manager have not got a understanding of what winning means. They all happy with top four. Trophies don’t mean anything to them or not to the money people. The club may be well run as far as investment goes but as far as trophies go they are failures.

    • I completely agree with you and this situation has been there for some time! What the Chairman of Tottenham needs to know is that if you invest a little you get back a little!

  2. As a fellow Spurs fan empathize with Spursnut d. But reality is we are not rich enough to have squad depth the way some others do. So winning the league is a challenge, a very creditable outcome. We stumbled the last few times in the cup final and semis, lets hope we win one soon. The character under Poch can no longer be regarded as”Spursy” – getting out of group in Europe represented tremendous grit.

  3. Anirvan We have a filthy rich owner who is a multi billionaire so we have got shedloads of money but he does not want to invest some of that wealth in the team to win things! he is just happy to plod along and get into the top 4 when we can! he is not a football man that wants to win things like us fans or other good chairman, all he cares about is making more money with the least amount of outlay! even in our dire situation now we look like we are still dithering to bring in another QUALITY striker(one we have needed for 3 years at least) and basically gambling our season away because we won’t spend a bit of money! even if Poch gave Levy and Lewis an ultimatum and said he would leave unless we buy players i’m sure pig headed Levy and Lewis would just let him walk! that’s the type of owners we have unfortunately! we need new owners that are going to spend a bit and don’t say we haven’t got the money because we have.
