Report: Tottenham may have competition from Serie A side for 20-year-old

According to a report in TuttoJuve, Monza have now made a move to sign Tottenham target Samuel Iling-Junior on loan.

It has been widely reported over the last couple of months that Ange Postecoglou wants to add a wide forward to his squad, with Iling-Junior alleged to be one of the names on Tottenham’s wishlist (Fichajes).

Just a couple of days ago, Dean Jones revealed in his column on GiveMeSport that the England Under-21 international is one of four wingers that Spurs are looking at.

The journalist explained that the North London club’s scouts had been impressed by the 20-year-old this season and that Juve were waiting to hear back from the Premier League side about the player.

Monza make a move for Samuel Iling-Junior

If TuttoJuve’s latest update is to be believed, Spurs might have some competition to contend with for Iling-Junior, with Monza said to be keen on securing the youngster on loan.

The report says that the Italian club, who were promoted to the Serie A the season before last, have informed the Bianconeri that the Chelsea academy graduate would get regular minutes at the club.

The publication asserts that Massimiliano Allegri’s side are expected to seriously consider the proposal as they regard Monza as a good destination for the youngster to develop.

Spurs Web Opinion

The speculation linking Iling-Junior with a move to Spurs has died down a bit over the last two weeks, which might suggest that the Juve star may no longer be the number one wide-forward target for Ange Postecoglou’s men.

If Tottenham are keen on the 20-year-old, the deal should be a straightforward one to complete as the Serie A giants would likely prefer to sell the winger permanently rather than loan him out to Monza.
