The Daily Mirror reveal that Liverpool have now entered the race for Tottenham Hotspur target, Evan Ndicka.
Ndicka is likely to be one of the most sought-after defenders when the transfer window opens as the Frenchman is set to be a free agent in June (Transfermarkt).
90 min reported two weeks ago that the Eintracht Frankfurt star is an option that ‘appeals hugely’ to the Lilywhites.
The report added that Spurs could face competition from Barcelona for the Frankfurt star, who was said to be open to a move to Camp Nou.
The Mirror now have named Spurs and Arsenal as contenders for Ndicka’s signature but they add that the two North London clubs are now set to be challenged by Liverpool for the centre-back’s services.
It is alleged that strengthening their backline is a priority for Jurgen Klopp’s men, who have identified the 6ft 3 defender as the ‘perfect profile’ as he can also operate at left-back if necessary.
However, Liverpool are said to be aware that Ndicka would want regular first-team football, which the Reds might not be able to guarantee since they have the likes of Ibrahima Konate and Virgil van Dijk among their ranks.
