Report: Tottenham midfielder snubs Everton loan switch; has heart set on move elsewhere

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele is not interested in a loan move to Valencia or Everton, according to the Evening Standard.

The 25-year-old instead has his heart set on a reunion with Mauricio Pochettino at Paris Saint-Germain.

Foot Mercato reported yesterday that both Valencia and Everton were both prepared to cover the whole amount of Ndombele’s wages until the end of the season, while French journalist Julien Maynard claimed the La Liga side and Tottenham had agreed on a loan deal while it was now down to the player to consider the switch.

Foot Mercato also claimed that the PSG dressing room are in favour of a move for Ndombele and is also believed to enjoy a close relationship with Kylian Mbappe.

Ndombele has not played for Spurs since being hauled off against Morecambe in the FA Cup earlier this month and has been training away from Antonio Conte’s first team (Football.London).

The former Lyon man has not been included in the match day squad for any of Tottenham’s last three matches in all competitions (transfermarkt).

It is clear to see that Ndombele is holding out for a move to PSG since it ticks all of the boxes which appeals to him. It would mean returning to his home city and the opportunity to play for a ‘big club’ to match his ego.

However, PSG must first make room for Ndombele in their squad, which is never the easiest task in the January transfer window.
