Report: Tottenham not happy with Antonio Conte trend in press conferences

The Times have reported that the Tottenham hierarchy are not impressed with Antonio Conte using his time in front of the press to air his grievances.

Conte has cut an increasingly frustrated figure over recent weeks as Tottenham struggle to keep the goals out, most recently against Man City when they shipped four in the second half despite having a two-goal lead.

Spurs started the 2022/23 season on fire but the World Cup restart has proved to be a disaster for the North London team as they have picked up just one win from five games.

This has raised many questions about Antonio Conte’s future at the club, with the Daily Mail reporting that his position as head coach of Tottenham looks increasingly uncertain ahead of the end of the season.

The Spurs boss recently complained that Spurs were defending like a relegation team, despite pushing for a top-four finish and the Champions League places (BBC).

It appears that Daniel Levy and co are not too happy with Conte complaining so much in his press conferences each week.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I think most Tottenham fans would say ‘let him moan’. The Tottenham board have plenty of questions to answer so they can hardly be frustrated with the manager at the moment. You either need to keep him and back him, or move him on and actually come up with a long-term plan.
