Report: Tottenham now ‘have an offer ready’ for 21-year-old central defender

TuttoMercatoWeb have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are now ready to make an opening offer for Genoa centre-back Radu Dragusin ahead of the opening of the January transfer window.

It has been widely reported over the past week that Spurs are in pole position to land Dragusin in January (Calciomercato) and the speculation linking the centre-back with a move to North London continues to intensify.

A couple of days ago, Primo Canale explained that Tottenham are ready to ramp up the ‘pressure’ on Genoa but the Serie A club are hoping to postpone the 21-year-old’s sale until next summer.

Over the last 24 hours, Charlie Eccleshare (The Athletic) and Fabrizio Romano (YouTube channel) have both confirmed that the Romanian is on Spurs’ wishlist, the latter stating that the player could leave the Serie A club even though he is expected to sign a contract extension.

Tottenham keen to sign new defender

TMW have now suggested that it is only a matter of time before a serious proposal is made, stating that Spurs now ‘have an offer ready’ for Dragusin.

The outlet also claims that Genoa would ideally not want to lose the former Juventus man in January given the fact it would impact their chances of preserving their top-flight status and are not accept anything less than €30m (£26m) for the Romanian international.

Spurs Web Opinion

My reading of the developing situation is that Jean-Clair Todibo is Tottenham’s top centre-back target and that the club will swiftly turn their attention to the Genoa player if a deal for the Todibo encounters any issues.
