Report: Tottenham now ready to make ‘concrete offer’ for January target

Calcio Mercato have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are set to push ahead with their pursuit of Adama Traore and make a ‘concrete offer’ for the Wolves star.

According to The Telegraph, Tottenham are looking to sign Traore on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy him in the summer.

Conte allegedly wants to convert the pacy wide man into a right wing-back, with the Italian thought to be unconvinced by Emerson Royal (Telegraph).

Last week, it was reported by some sources (including Duncan Castles on the Transfer Window Podcast) that the 25-year-old was not close to leaving Wolves.

However, if reports over the last few days are to go by, it looks like Traore’s move to Tottenham is now back on.

Fabrizio Romano revealed on Tuesday that Spurs are ‘still trying’ to snap up the Spanish international before the end of the month.

CalcioMercato have now stated that the North Londoners are ‘ready to sink the blow’ by presenting a concrete offer for Traore.

The report claims that the Wolves star is one of the players that Conte asked for during his meeting with Daniel Levy and Fabio Paratici. It is asserted that the 52-year-old will be ‘satisfied’ with the winger’s arrival in North London.

Spurs Web Opinion

Traore seems to be a player who splits opinion among the Spurs fan base but I am genuinely excited about his potential arrival. If Conte can improve the 25-year-old defensively, he could turn into one of the best wing-backs in the world.

I can see us creating a lot more chances given the numerous times we manage to isolate our wing-backs in one vs one situations with the opposition full-backs in our current system.
