Report: Tottenham offer three players to Roma in potential Zaniolo exchange

Football Insider have reported that Tottenham Hotspur have offered one of three players to Roma in a possible exchange deal for Nicolo Zaniolo this month.

The report adds that Spurs are still in talks with the Serie A side about a loan deal with an option or obligation to buy, with Roma holding out for a straight £30m fee from the North Londoners.

Bryan Gil, who has enjoyed a bright spell following the World Cup restart, is said to be one of the players Spurs have offered to Roma in exchange for their 23-year-old winger. However, the other two players, who Fabio Paratici and co are said to be using to try and ‘smooth’ a deal, are left unnamed.

This comes as Fabrizio Romano revealed that Tottenham have made a loan with an option to buy offer to Roma for Zaniolo, but the Italians prefer a guaranteed fee.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I can’t see Spurs using any players in exchange, unless they loan someone like Gil to Roma for a couple of million off the deal. I assume the two parties will come to an agreement on a loan with an option to buy that becomes an obligation under certain circumstances.
