Report: Tottenham offered chance to re-sign former midfielder before deadline

Football Insider have reported that Tottenham Hotspur have sensationally been offered a chance to re-sign Christian Eriksen on loan before the transfer window shuts tonight.

Eriksen has struggled to find his form at Inter Milan since leaving Spurs to join the Italian giants during the January transfer window.

The Nerazzurri have been quite active so far this transfer window and it is now suggested that they are keen to reduce their wage bill on the back of the signings they have made recently.

It is said that the club are keen on getting Eriksen’s £200,000-a-week salary off their wage bill and have thus offered him on loan to several clubs.

The report asserts that they are even ready to cover half of the midfielder’s wages should a side agree to take him.

Apart from Spurs, it is alleged that the Denmark international also been offered to other ‘big six’ clubs but there is no confirmation on whether anyone is showing interest in signing him.

Spurs Web Opinion

With the attacking talent we have at our disposal and the way we currently play, I cannot see where Eriksen would fit it if he was to come back. I hope none of our rivals decide to take a punt on him as it would be pretty difficult to digest seeing him wear the shirt of another Premier League side.
