Report: Tottenham on track to complete £60m transfer – Five-year contract outlined

Tottenham are on track to complete a deal to sign Richarlison from Everton this week despite a recent surge of interest from Chelsea, according to UOL Esporte.

It is explained Spurs are close to finalising a deal which could eventually be worth an estimated £60 million, having already outlined a five-year contract that would last until June 2027.

The report adds that Chelsea have inquired about Richarlison’s situation as they prepare to enter the pursuit, although the north London side are thought to be confident of landing the Brazil international.

Richarlison has reportedly signalled his intentions to leave Everton this summer despite helping the club preserve its Premier League status last season (Goal Brasil).

The 25-year-old scored 10 goals in the top-flight (Transfermarkt) and emerged as a key player under Frank Lampard during their relegation dogfight.

He moved to Merseyside from Watford in 2018 with the Hornets managing to negotiate a 10 per cent sell-on fee for the striker if he is sold for more than £40 million (Watford Observer).

Tottenham appear to be firming up their interest in Richarlison and it is coming at a good time with Chelsea also emerging in the race to sign him.

The fee is a pretty big one but Spurs could be getting a player that hasn’t hit his ceiling yet and is able to be deployed anywhere across the front line.
