Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly among one of three Premier League giants looking at a West Bromwich Albion teenager this season (Sun).
Spurs, Arsenal, and Manchester City are reportedly all interested in signing West Brom’s 16-year-old forward, Rico Richards.
Richards is out of contract at the end of this season, so it could be a straight race to sign the youngster ahead of rival clubs for Spurs.
The Sun add that Richards is an exciting forward who can play as a number 10 or on either wing. West Brom are said to be looking at convincing the player to sign a new deal and remain where he is, but will the lure of a big six club be too much?
At 16, Richards won’t be breaking into Tottenham’s first-team any time soon, but Spurs have a rich history of bringing stars through their academy.
The prime current example would be Troy Parrott, a player Spurs added to their youth system a couple of years ago as a young teenager and who is now knocking on the door of the first-team.
