Report: Tottenham one of two English clubs eyeing move for Serie A midfielder

According to a report from Tutto Mercato Web, Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a move for Torino midfielder Sasa Lukic in the summer transfer window.

It has been a campaign to forget for Torino so far, with the club currently languishing in the relegation zone.

One of the very few bright sparks for Torino this season has been the performances of Lukic, who has put in consistent displays in the middle of the park despite his side’s struggles.

The Serbian has evolved into one of the most promising young talents in Italian football since arriving from Partizan Belgrade in 2016.

According to Tutto Mercato Web, Spurs have identified the 24-year-old as a potential target to bolster their options in midfield.

The report claims that Crystal Palace could also be set to compete with the North Londoners for the Torino star’s signature.

It is asserted that the Eagles had an offer for Lukic rejected by Torino in January and could return with another bid for the versatile midfielder at the end of the season.

Spurs Web Opinion

I do not believe that singing a midfielder partner for Hojbjerg should be as big a priority for Spurs as it seemed until a couple of months ago. Not only has Skipp gone from strength to strength at Norwich but Ndombele has also adapted to playing in a deeper role.
