Report: Tottenham open new contract talks with academy star striker

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly already opened talks with Troy Parrott over a possible new contract at the club after the Irishman has impressed this season (Football Insider).

This comes less than a year after Parrott signed a contract with the North London club back in February 2019.

However, Spurs are said to be keen to tie the striker down to a new deal after his start to the season, as they want to secure him for the long-term.

Parrott made his debut for the Republic of Ireland senior side this week, claiming his first assist as he started in a friendly against New Zealand.

Troy also made his senior Spurs debut earlier in the season when he started against Colchester United in the Carabao Cup.

Now a regular among the travelling squad for senior Spurs match days, as well as a part of the club’s Champions League squad, Parrott looks to be one for the future at Tottenham.
