Report: Tottenham open talks with Napoli for star man

Tottenham Hotspur became the first Premier League club in history not to signa single new player across a whole season this year.

The last player brought in by Daniel Levy and Mauricio Pochettino was Lucas Moura from PSG way back in January 2018.

The club will surely be entering the transfer market and splashing some cash this summer after the opening of their new stadium.

Spurs have already waved goodbye to midfield star Mousa Dembele, a player who had been a permanent fixture in the Pochettino midfield since the Argentine’s arrival.

One player who has been tipped to replace Dembele is Napoli’s Amadou Diawara.

Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Spurs have now opened talks with the Italian club over signing the star midfielder (quoted by TribalFootball).

Negotiations are said to be underway between the two clubs after Diawara has found himself out of the starting XI this season, with Ancelotti favouring a two man midfield.
