Report: Tottenham outcast could snub Premier League side in favour of move abroad

According to a report from The Sun, Danny Rose could snub interest from West Bromwich Albion in favour of a move to either Germany or Spain before the end of the month.

Rose has been completely frozen out of the first-team picture at Tottenham, having not featured in competitive top-flight action since his loan spell at Newcastle United last season.

TalkSPORT’s Alex Crook claimed last week that Tottenham could terminate his contract which runs until the end of the season and the left-back could leave the club on a free transfer.

He revealed that West Brom were keen on landing him as they look to strengthen their squad to help them preserve their Premier League status.

The Sun has now backed up that claim by also suggesting that Tottenham and Rose’s entourage could come to an agreement to terminate his deal.

They also suggest that Sam Allardyce is desperate to bring him to the Hawthorns but the report claims that the Tottenham star is not particularly keen on a move to the relegation-threatened side.

The England international is said to be attracting interest from sides in La Liga and Bundesliga, with it being suggested that Rose prefers a move abroad to try and revive his career.

In hindsight, one can make the case that we should have sold Rose two or three years ago when his value was still high. That would have been beneficial for Spurs as well as for the left-back himself as he would have had a fresh start. I suspect that were it not for the close relationship that the 30-year-old had with Pochettino, he would have been sold after his public criticism of the club in 2017.
